For the Eropagnis Project, each group will create their own Wiki (on Wetpaint.com).
PLEASE WAIT UNTIL YOUR GROUP IS ASSIGNED TO DO THE FOLLOWING:

Setting Up Your Group Project Wiki
One person from each group needs to do the following:
(If you can, do it as a group! More fun that way.)

Go to Wetpaint.com
(You need to already have a profile or account… everything you need to do is free)

Have all the email addresses of your group members (and your TAs and lecturer) available.
socect@nus.edu.sg (Dr. Eric)
g0700790@nus.edu.sg (Audrey)
seuty@nus.edu.sg (Seuty)

Click on “Create” a Wiki [GO!] and follow the instructions.
Category: Education

To begin with choose “Invited members: A private site is only viewable by people you invite”
(Keep the wiki private while you are constructing it; on a date to be specified by the instructors, we will ask you to make the site public for other members of the class to view)

Who can edit your Wiki? = Only people I invite.
Continue and select a style for you Wiki
Continue to the Invitation section
Enter the email addresses of all members of your group and the lecturer and TAs (so we can keep track and give you feedback on your projects).
Give everyone “Administrator” status (maximum access for all your group members).
Send the invitations… and you’re done.
Congratulations… you have just created a Wiki!
All or most of the settings can be changed (for example, the “style” template).

How "long" should the Wiki be?
As a rule of thumb, your Eropagnis Wiki should be a total of about 5,000 words of text.
But, quality is much, much, MUCH more important than numbers of words.
Also, this is a Wiki website, not a single multi-page paper.
It can include things other than text (as much or as little as you want).
Work on formating to make it as good as you can.
Use the functionality of hypertext to make it accessible and interesting.
Again, as a rule of thumb, you probably don't want any one page to have more than 500 to 1000 words.
The Eropagnis Wiki set up by the instructor is just a basic example.
You should build on this and create your own way of doing it.

Due Dates
1. By Friday September 19, have at least a 100-word description of what you plan to work on for the project.
2. In the FOURTH tutorial session, you will give a presentation about your Wiki Project.
3. ONE day (24 hours) before your fourth tutorial session, change the settings on the Wiki so that it can be publicly viewed by anyone. (It is up to you if you want to allow anonymous comments - we recommend it for getting feedback).
4. The FINAL DUE DATE is Friday 7 November 2008. You should not make any modifications to your Wiki after that date (we will be grading the assignment base on the Wiki as of that date). You can make any modifications, changes or improvement you want between the presentation in your tutorial and the final due date.

Opening the Wiki to Public View
Each group should do the following at least 24 Hours before their presentation in tutorials:
1. Click on "Settings" (upper right-hand corner of the Wiki page).
2. Click on the "Permissions" tab.
3. Click on "I want to change these settings"
4. Click on Who should view this site? = "Everyone: A public site..."
5. Who should post threads? (This is up to you... if you put 'anonymously' you can get more feedback.)
6. Click "Next" then "Make these Changes"

Your site should be open for public viewing after doing this.

All students should try to view other group's Wiki Eropagnis projects after they are open for public viewing and before the tutorial session. Instructors will send around a list of the websites to each tutorial group.

Presentation (in Fourth Tutorial)
Each group should prepare a presentation of their group project on Eropagnis for the fourth tutorial.
Each group will have approximately 10 minutes of time.
Five minutes should be used to present the basic idea of the project.
Five minutes should be reserved for discussion, comments, and questions from the rest of the class.

The five minute presentation can take any form. Members of the group can read all or part of the online essay. You can present in a skit form. You can read a poem (though not recommended). Whatever conveys the main points of the essay and project is fine. Just make sure that you do not take up more than five minutes!

The purpose of the presentation is to get feedback on your project so that you can make any necessary revisions or improvements by the FINAL DUE DATE (November 7).
